My latest iPhone addiction: Trainyard

I read about this iOS game called Trainyard the other day and didn't think much of it. But then I read another post about the game and how fun and addictive it was, so I decided to try it out.

The premise is really simple, you've got to get trains from point A to point B. Along the way, you'll need to change the color of the train as well as change the number of trains that reach the station.

You accomplish this by laying down track and changing the order of the "switches" so that the trains go where you want them to go. There's no time limit, which is good because it's all a matter of trial and error.

Qik wins the old iPhone video game (for now)

At the time I bought my iPhone 3G the iPhone 3GS had just come out but I didn’t feel like I really needed the video capture or digital compass features, so I opted for the older phone. I got a great deal on a refurbished model ($49!).

Motionx GPS Lite iPhone app review

I downloaded the MotionX GPS Lite app with high hopes for its use as a GPS in areas where there’s little to no cell coverage. The app has the ability to function in such a capacity, although the iPhone’s assisted GPS chip hampers the possibilities of such usage.

Disc Golf, Technology, Indian food and Irish music

I've been dying to try out my GolfTracker iPhone app and finally got the chance last night when we played a round of disc golf at the Johnny Roberts course in Arvada.

The interface works great for inputting the scores after each hole, but I found a piece missing in that there was no running total of each player's score. I also can't seem to find a way to see the total score after a round - it only shows the player's best round. Maybe this information will surface after I add another round.
