Our first look at our new baby

I've been pretty quiet on the baby front lately, mainly because everything has been going smoothly (well except for Christina's first few months of near-constant nausea).

But on Monday, we went in for our 20-week checkup and had an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that we're having a girl! Everything looked normal on the ultrasound, so that was good news.

I have seen ultrasound pictures before, but I was completely unprepared to see the baby actually moving. Even at first, I didn't realize that the baby was moving until a little hand moved in and out of the frame. Both C and I said, "Was that a hand?" I must of sounded a bit silly when I asked, "So, we can actually see the baby move?"

The ultrasound tech was very good and explained everything that she was doing. She took screenshots of the baby's face, hands, feet and more. At one point, the baby's head was on the screen and we saw her mouth open and close. That just blew my mind! At another point, the baby lifted her hands over her head like she was playing peek-a-boo!

There was no question that what we were seeing was a girl. The baby had her legs spread wide open!

The 20th week also marks the middle of the pregnancy. I cant believe that it's already half-way there. There's still so much to do!

Congrats man!

SoOOOooooOooo happy for you guys!
