Scrabulous app pulled from Facebook

Myself and thousands of other Facebook users logged in this morning to check on their Scrabulous games only to find that the app has been removed for all US and Canadian users.

Hasbro sued the makers of the game - two brothers from India - for copyright infringement

I saw the writing on the wall for Scrabulous once Hasbro and Electronic Arts created their own Scrabble Facebook app, which coincidentally wasn't working this morning when I tried to add it.

I'm digging (sorta) free AT&T wifi

I've been hearing all sorts of rumors about AT&T and Starbucks offering free wifi for iPhone users and people trying to trick Safari's user agent to think it's an iPhone.

My friend and colleague Dan Pacheco turned me onto a better way to get free net access. The first thing you need to do is to buy, refill or register a Starbucks card. I bought one for $5 at Starbucks. Then go to the Starbucks homepage and sign up for a Starbucks account and register your card.

Oops. I'm supposed to read those statements?

I'm conducting an experiment to see how large corporations deal with angry customers who use the web to tell their stories.

Now the sordid details about how I got to this point are posted below and to be honest, it's a pretty petty thing.

But I felt mistreated enough to head out, and in a particularly sour and vindictive mood, registered the domain name www.DontBuyBowflex.com. Setting up a page with my story is a simple matter of waiting for the DNS to propagate.

A midnight ride through Denver

Last Saturday night, some friends and I rode in Denver's annual Moonlight Classic. It's a ride through Denver in the middle of the night that benefits Seniors, Inc.

Thousands of people take part in the ride dressed in costumes and ride bikes adorned with glowsticks and other lights.
